**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Bag Experience** Nestled by the lake, this restaurant promises breathtaking views and a memorable dining experience. However, reviews highlight a stark contrast between the atmosphere and the food quality. While some patrons rave about standout dishes, like clam chowder and lobster, others lament bland flavors and poor presentation. Service experiences varied significantly; excited customers enjoyed attentive staff, while others faced long waits and unhelpful hosts. Despite the appealing ambiance and a commendable wine list, the inconsistency in food quality and service has left many guests questioning whether a return visit is worth it.

Was CommonScents Cooking With Essential Oils at Lola's a mag?
This place was amazing! The bartenders were fantastic, and I think they were brothers with great personalities that made us laugh. We sat down to eat, and the appetizer—a tuna dish—was absolutely delicious! We were attended to by several staff members who were quick to serve water and take away our dishes, making us feel like royalty. The scenery was beautiful, and I definitely plan to return! What nichole miller dislikes about Lola's:
I was originally really excited for this new menu. Unfortunately it has become clear that it was just a cover up to serve food that is mediocre at best and to charge customers more. While the views are nice, the food is a huge disappointment. Everything lacks finesse and flavor and the Fish and pork chops were over cooked and needed salt. Also if you’re going to charge premium for a lobster roll how about not fill it... View all feedback.

This restaurant by the lake is fantastic. It was busy on a Saturday night, and the food was excellent. Our server was attentive, but the hostess was quite abrupt and unfriendly. They have a policy that requires you and your guest to arrive together before being seated, which means you often have to wait in the hallway or outside in the heat until both of you are there. This makes it hard to get comfortable or enjoy a drink while waiting. However, the exceptional food was the highlight of the experience and ultimately saved the review from being lower.
Gulf shrimp appetizers, but not in the main meals. Chicken tasted pre cooked, frozen, reheated. Service and food preparation is the great. Steaks and walleye are good. Hash Browns used for augrautin potatoes. Should use higher quality food throughout, the preparation, service and prices deserve it.
This was, without a doubt, the worst meal I have ever experienced. I had heard that the new chef was outstanding, but unfortunately, my entire party of four found the food to be bland and unoriginal. To make matters worse, my brother and sister-in-law became ill about 3-4 hours after our meal. Honestly, we would have been better off dining at Applebee’s.
We made outdoor reservations for a Tuesday night. We were sat inside even though 90% of the outside tables were empty. Whatever not the end of the world. Our service was so extremely slow. We waited for drinks for extended periods of time. (The restaurant was very very slow so not sure why our server gave us crappy service. My crispy chicken was anything but crispy. It had a soggy breading on it and was so tough I couldn’t even cut it with a knife. Crab cakes were good. Steak pasta tasted like vomit. Chicken wings were good. $300 later we left with an eh experience…not too long after getting home we became ill with horrible food poisoning. We alerted management and they advised they would make sure from now on food was cooked properly and sent us a $50 gift card (obviously we would never use it because we’re all a little nervous) overall the atmosphere is beautiful, service not great and food was bad.
