Martha’s - Waco
Martha’s
Description
Nestled in Waco, this unpretentious Mexican spot earns praise for handmade corn tortillas, standout birria and homestyle breakfasts like chilaquiles and caldo de pollo, with friendly service and a clean interior. Patrons love its comfort-food vibe and all-day menu, though some find prices a bit high. Serious complaints about foodborne illness and an unresponsive owner contrast with otherwise glowing reports, and parking and consistency can be issues — worth trying, but proceed with caution.

I had never been to this restaurant before today, even though I pass by it twice a day and had never noticed it. But the Birria Taco plate was so delicious that I had to share my experience before I even wash my hands! Food: 5/5
This cozy spot offers authentic Mexican cuisine at great prices. The flavors are fantastic! Food rating: 5/5.
Coffee was not fresh. Bacon over cooked hard. Good eggs beans. Tortillas not good at all.Food: 2/5
Cheesy meat on tortilla and stale chips. not horrible, but no rush to return.Food: 4/5
This place has a bit of a dive vibe, but the food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Calling it a "dive" might be a bit harsh, but I have a fondness for spots like this. Everything was amazing, especially the birria tacos! I absolutely loved them, as well as the breakfast burritos. The service was top-notch too! Overall, I would rate the food a solid 5 out of 5.
