Freddy’s is one of the rare spots in town that truly knows how to make a proper patty melt! If it’s not served on rye bread with Swiss cheese and fried onions, then it’s just not a real patty melt. The restaurant across the street from Freddy’s is guilty of culinary sacrilege every time they attempt to make a patty melt on Texas toast with American cheese! Honestly, their place might just collapse if they keep it up, haha!
This restaurant is honestly a fantastic spot for a quick meal. I'm not a huge fan of the thin patties, but the double patty definitely makes up for it. I appreciate the texture and how crispy the patties are, and the fries are really delicious, even though they are quite thin. If you have a sweet tooth, the ice cream here is extremely sweet and satisfying!
The staff at this restaurant are incredibly friendly. We celebrated our twin sons' 31st birthday there because we all enjoy the burgers and fries, and they serve Pepsi, which is our favorite. I highly recommend trying Freddy's—it's fantastic!
