Sauerkraut, Leberknödel and Bratwurst are difficult to prepare, but on the Wachtenburg the kitchen succeeds! Beautiful view over the Rhine plain. The food is quite cheap, both in terms of price and quality. Staff are friendly to regular guests or locals, but unfortunately not to others. Tip: Hiking and enjoy your own lunch package on one of the meadows and viewpoints all around. The look is just as beautiful. Eat on one of the many huts around.

After our one-week journey ended the next day in Bergheim(NRW), I realized that my documents had been handed down (default, driver's license, car rental, etc. and also banknotes). And now the surprise: the next day a call from the Wachtenburg with the message that the documents were found. It was all complete and the delivery by post was immediately porto-free, although I had asked to either keep the cash or make the delivery by post. THE WAR CLASSES AND A SUPER SERVICE. DANKE NOCHMALS!
