What User doesn't like about Iwona Pierogies:
Took a friend here tonight and it didn't turn out well. I asked for the pierogies to be pan fried and they came out deep fat fried, Strike 1. Who deep fat fries pierogies?Ordered the schnitzel and it came overcooked and dry, Strike 2Ordered apple pierogies for desert and they were out, Strike 3We normally buy a couple dozen frozen pierogies to take home but passed on them tonight.Perhaps time to look for another pier... The reviews of this place are super legit!__Ate here with my wife yesterday, happened to be the only customers in the place at the time, which of course
This place is so cuteThe couple running it as well as the decor itself both remind me so much of my German friend's parents house.

The home made bacon, cheese and onion pierogies is what i have always been craving for other than the frozen pierogies you can buy at the store. Also had "REAL" Russian Borscht with beats and not the fake Russian Borscht with tomato soup.So overall it was very good including the service. The price however was average and a little overpriced.
Happened to be doing laundry at the laundromat a few doors down when I got a bit hungry - quick Google map search showed Iwona's literally a few steps away so I placed an order for pickup.Food was ready just as I was finishing up so I raced home to try it and the aroma from the container was tempting me the whole way. Had a combo meal - 4 sauerkraut, potato, onion pierogies with a sausage and cabbage roll. Also came with a small veggie/chickpea salad.Wasn't disappointed. The food was great and had a real homemade taste to it. Recommend this place to anyone wanting some good polish food!
