What Sigrid Fadel doesn't like about Restaurant Épik:
This is an Italian restaurant in the old port near the Notre Dame basilica.I haven't ordered food there, so cannot judge it, and my review is based entirely on my drinks experience. We were seated in their back terrace which was nice, and picked cocktails and drinks that were mostly Italian in nature. Spritz Aperol, pear-based drink, and wines.I had the Aperol, and I can say I tried many in Italy. It didn't taste the... View all feedback. What Richard Ford likes about Restaurant Épik:
Overall was very good, the smoky salmon is fabulous, but the braised beef is a bit too salty. The ponna cotta was really nice too, not too sweet, just the right flavor. View all feedback.

read moreEpik is a hidden gem in Montreal, located in the lobby of Hotel Epik with a hanging "Epik" sign. The restaurant offers a diverse menu with options like Smokey Shrimps, soft bowling crab club, and Zaatar carrots. The atmosphere is charming, with the option to dine in the back garden. While some diners found the menu limited and pricey, others raved about the original and refined dishes, attentive service, and outstanding dining experience. Overall, Epik seems to be a hit or miss, but worth a try for those looking for a unique dining experience in Old Montreal.
