The chicken soup was delicious, but we were not a fan of the stuffed animal decorations that filled the room. Additionally, the restaurant was quite pricey.
After our disappointing visit to the schloss vyborg we stopped here for lunch. eating was good and the beer cold. it wasn't gourmet by any stretch, but certainly edible. our waitress was friendly and helpful. my son had the bear "in Russian" and he liked him because he was new and different. I don't eat meat, and the non-meat options were limited to grilled vegetables and brot, both good, even if not inspired. the restaurant location is central to the castle and along the street, where there are some tourist shops and a very interesting antique shop. You could be worse than that in a long shot.
My man and I visited vyborg and everything was wonderful until we stopped eating in the restaurant medved. location is great, but that's it. the interieur comes from the late 90s Russia, the menu is very basic, except for wild game. the service was not very good.: the waitress seemed unhappy that we showed up, we asked about the ingredients of a court and she could not explain or not disturb. I ordered creamy suppe with salmon and I didn't finish it: the fish tasted strange. Wein was okay. 2 stars for the wonderful location.
Bear meat was really great. Highly recommended is the wild platter for two (it's big portion). The athmosphere is really fitting and very well done!
