I was pleasantly surprised once I walked inside this restaurant! Don't judge it by its exterior appearance. The lunch buffet had a great variety of dishes that were all hot and continuously replenished when they ran out. The young lady who assisted our large group of 20 was very friendly. The restroom was clean and well-maintained. I would definitely return to this restaurant.
For the best experience, I recommend starting with chapter 3 of Ann Hui's "Chop Suey Nation." The restaurant offers excellent "good fake Chinese," as Hui describes it, which is not a disappointment. I typically steer clear of Chinese buffets because they can be depressing and harshly lit, but not this place. The smaller portions are continuously replenished to ensure they are hot and fresh. The dishes are not greasy, slightly crispy, and sauces are served on the side so diners can customize their experience with sweet and sour or other flavors. Don't forget to try the General Tso's chicken and mushrooms - they are must-haves.
I tried the dinner at the buffet. all the food was decent, but quite overpriced. some of the employees could not speak English.
