View all feedback.

This restaurant is a family business in a pleasant village near the weinberge and lac leman. the decor is unchanged and the restaurant retains another Michelin star that it once had two! there is no à la carte menu that means they have to eat what the cook wants, that they have instead of what they want. that is good when the menu is special and exciting. our food was properly presented and cooked decently what they could expect, but nothing more. the wow factor was simply not enthusiastic. (the restaurant used to be a la carte, but with surprises from the chef. there was no surprise here! the additional costs were higher than the local higher main restaurants. chf 10 for hot water and lemon at the end of the meal?! 15chf for a non-full bottle of foam water. chf25 for an aperitif sherry? ... and why did I get a sugary champagne instead of the brut blanc of the blancs glass champagner I ordered (although I was to calculate fair chf20 instead of the listed chf25 for a drink I did not want. . the restaurant was always relatiw expensive for its class, but the pleasure factor used to it worth it. only to make clear that the family is pleasant, the employees are well trained, but excessively formal. they have the core components and the potential to restore the former glories, but they cannot leave and remain in a timewarp, which is actually a mere pale reflection of an excellent pastness blocked.
I came here as part of a big group dinner. the interior of the restaurant was classic and pleasant. great ambiente and vibe. the food was rich and tasty with a very good presentation. it was a good meal. there was no wow factor as I expected. or hoped. but as I came as a large group, the experience could be more intimate and special in a smaller group format. I'd think I'd come back to Lausanne on a return trip.
We enjoyed the tasting menu for four to midday. the main course was venison, which was great. a person in our part chose to have the turbot that wore an ugly charge. the appetizers were also beautiful, the foigras also a charge was wonderful! To escape additional fees, they must stay on the menu, even if other options are offered. the weeping were beautifully paired to the meal, all from the region. I think the restaurant has a Michelin star and is very worthy of this review.
You choose this place for celebrating a special occasion and you will not be disappointed. The excellent champagne (no surcharge for a rosé next to the fireplace while waiting to be taken upstairs for the meal puts you in the mood. The menu at CHF...125. is excellent but if you want something à la carte, it is extremely expensive. Take the Wagyu beef instead of the lamb on the menu, it will cost you an extra 100. . It is cooked to perfection but a Swiss filet is just as nice, in my opinion. The wine list is like a trip around the world and you can find excellent Swiss wines (e.g. from the Grisons at a reasonable price. Service good and friendly albeit a bit slow between main course and dessert. The latter is cold and should therefore not take so long for a soufflé, it would be acceptable. Upon leaving, you have the feeling that whatever the special occasion was, you have done it credit and your guests should be impressesed.
