Unfortunately, it was the worst fish I'v... read more During our stop in Vredenburg, I had high hopes for the West Coast Fishery, thinking, "Fish and chips—it must be good." Unfortunately, it was the worst fish I've ever tasted. The snoek was incredibly dry and overly salty, almost as if it had been deep-fried without any care. The lady did mention that the fish was already salted, which might explain it. The hake was served cold, which didn't help the situation. The only positive note was the chips, which were decent. To make matters worse, the meal wasn’t inexpensive. I won’t be coming back.
