Hotel is clea... read more First skiing holiday for my family and I, and Myrkdalen was perfect. Stayed here over Xmas week and it was mostly v. quiet with beautiful weather. Hotel is clean, comfy and modern. Food is decent (lots of it! and staff v. pleasant. Ski slopes were perfect and the instructors at the local ski school were excellent and super friendly. I'd definitely come back for more skiing.

Not a big problem for me but i was happy I didn't have my wife and kids with me because they wouldn't have enjoyed this day.. Maybe check the weather forecast and if they expect a lot of snow during the night then take the prepping of the slopes in the morning instead of wasting the effort the evening before ?? Otherwise excellent ski resort !!

There are often loads of people so be prepared for some long queues and crowded slopes. Most people here are very experienced skiiers though so you generally feel safe.
