Apart of... read more Searching on Tripadvisor I have found only one review in German concerning Rasthütte but actually not specifying its location in the middle of Eng Alm. Apart of the Alpengasthof - Alpencafe it is the second option and in my opinion the better one to have lunch or coffee and cake in this place especially on return from your walk to the mountain hills. It is open each year from early May through October and comprises of a Tyrolean style wooden furniture restaurant, self-service restaurant and bar area as well as open air terrace. Local Tyrolean dishes like baked meat mixed with melted cheese & potatoes, salads, local ham and tasteful hard cheese plateaus etc. are on the menu, all with reasonable prices - a very good alternative to the usual Schnitzel and Dumpling choices. A good tip will be to try the local fruit brandy (Obstler) especially the pear brandy - simply delicious! Excellent service, staff is very kind
