Grand Café Next - Vlissingen

“Shared dining” concept, exceptionally bad food. Beware. We ordered two drinks, yakitori skewers and kimchi rice and a couscous salad. There was plastic in the couscous salad. When we showed this to the waiter he said he’d let the kitchen know. The yakitori skewers were very small €13,50) the kimchi rice far too wet and undercooked. We let the waiter know our food didn’t taste good. Paid €37 for these three dishes and three drinks. See pics for tiny portion sizes. Very young staff. We wanted to have coffee after dinner but no one walked around the restaurant to order with. Do not recommend.

We had ordered the 'sushi matsu ', and received a sushi boat filled with maki, nigiri and some rolls. All in all, it is not recommandable to eat sushi over here since it is quite expansive for the quality one receives. All the sushi 's looked and tasted alike (everything was included with salmon and teriyaki sauce), except the maki with avocado and bellpeper, which was disgusting. Furthermore, the service was bad. We made a reservation but the table was given to someone else who did not reserve. So we had to wait 20 minutes. The management team was very incapable and did not apologize. Furthermore, once we were seated, they immediately asked us what we would like to drink before they even gave us the menu. Afterwards, the waiter asked us three times how everything was going while we only received our drink, but once we received our food they did not ask us anything anymore. Therefore we would discourage everyone from going to this place.

Great location and the staff is nice....but honestly not quick and a little loud sometimes and the food....not great tbh, fish is good but The flavour the tecture of the Rice (dry and old) u HAVE TO add soysauce to get IT down....a little dissapointed tbh

I have eaten here many times, but the menu is getting worse and really limited since it has been taken over by Fletcher (was Amadore). The waitresses are foreign students and do not speak Dutch. A few speak proper English (not all of them). They did not check with the customers if the food was okay or if additional drinks were needed. The ossenhaas spies were lukewarm and dry. The bavette was dry. The pulled chicken taco was great. The restaurant itself is cosy and has a nice location at the boulevard with a beautiful view.

If you order some finger food why would you have to get up, walk to the bar and ask for serviettes? It looks like such a basic thing to me... Absolutely unprofessional young waiters. The food itself was unimpressive.
