Some of the most friendly people ever. We love visit with them just as much as eating the food.

My experience at this place was excellent. The breakfast was delicious and the prices are great.

Actually we did not go down to the Burks café, they delivered food to us. I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful everything was and the gentleman that brought our food to us was super nice. I called around last evening trying to find something to get delivered to us, Pizza Hut, Subway, Chicken place and none delivered. So I called Burks Cafe early this morning and lo and behold the guy said yes he could deliver food to us. We’re setting not far from the restaurant but we’re in the big rig and we can’t leave the trailer and with this new E-log thing, we can’t move the truck. We were most happy that he delivered. We had bacon, sausage, eggs, toast and people get this... grits and he even brought a pot full of coffee in a thermos type pot, so we had coffee all day and in that thermos carafe it was hot and so very good. Probably the best coffee we’ve had since we’ve been on the road, yes it was that good. Later in the day, he brought dinner/lunch to us... Meat loaf, pork chops gravy, white rice, mashed potatoes gravy, boiled cabbage, Okra with tomatoes, candied sweet potatoes, black eyed peas and 2 big old hunks of corn bread! Lordy sakes thought we’d died and gone to heaven! Southern cookin’ at its best. He said they were getting ready to close for the day but if we needed anything to let him know. OMG! Can you believe that? Seriously, you don’t get something like that in this day and time. Bill I were absolutely blown away!!!!! So may I suggest if you’re ever in Vivian Louisiana by all means stop by Burks Café on the corner of Pine Street Airport Road, you won’t be sorry.

Food is always great soul food. Love Mr Burk. Car detailing is pretty good too!
