Yesterday was my birthday. We were lucky enough to enter Mactra. I fully agree with other excellent reviews regarding the food served and the environment, and I would like to underline that, in addition to what has already been appreciated, it is worth noting the considerable attention to the customer as a guest, rather than as a subject who in the end he will pay what he owes. Recommended by friends, I went with my wife to the Mactra pizzeria; upon entering I had the feeling of a familiar environment, with a wonderful view of the very well-kept garden below (where you can eat in the summer) and the ancient walls with towers in the background. The menu is full of pizza specialties (but also other) whose variations are not only for the toppings but for the doughs made with particular wheat flours. I ordered an al padellino pizza with exquisite tomato sauce and buffalo mozzarella: it is a special pizza that reminded me a little of the typical one from Vico Equense. 4/5 cm high with a crunchy crust and soft interior, it is already delicious on its own and with the seasoning it is truly delicious; I accompanied it with a good merlot from Castiglione in Teverina. Excellent service!
