What Merydet doesn't like about Aquilone:
We stayed in this restaurant on Sunday. Absolutely not recommended. Calculating that we are in the mountains and you have to go to mail you expect at least a lunch as you must. Apart from paper tablecloths and so far we have cleaned the chairs because they were dirty but the dishes absolutely miserable. Wonderful lunch on a busy day in November, in the silence of one of the smallest villages of Lazio. We are greeted by Mrs. Assunta and her husband Aldo, who has been leading the restaurant for over 50 years, heated by the fire of the fireplace on... Possibility of choice between full fixed menu at 25 euro and à la carte . Traditional dishes cooked as from grandmother: appetizer with hand-cut raw ham, lamb livers, dressing, taste of ricotta and eggplants in oil, dried sausage. First: spectacular sugo dumplings made by Mrs. Assunta, fettuccine with mushrooms. Seconds and contours: lamb and sausage in the grill, fresh fried potatoes, vegetable salad, mushrooms and turnips in the pan. Sweet: homemade doughnuts. In a nutshell: tradition, low prices, genuineness, passion for your work, family. The news, countries and landscapes deserve a stake. Long live Assunta and Aldo. Thank you.
