Vista's Icebox

Vista?s Icebox has a homey feel while serving the most delicious sandwiches. We tried the Reuben and the California split. The size of the sandwich was filling for both me and my boyfriend. The bread was soft and fresh and the meat and condiments were in perfect portions. You could tell a lot of love and thought was put into this deli. Highly recommend and will be back the next time we?re in California.

I love their sandwiches here! Almost every morning, I just go for my usual Ham and Cheese on toasted Sourdough bread. They also have different flavors of lemonade that you should try, especially the Coconut Lavender one. Overall, I would recommend this sandwich place!

Cobb salad is SO GOOD and so filling. Prices are decent and I?ll definitely go back.

TRULY A HIDDEN GEM! This is one of the best sandwich spots in all of Vista and Carlsbad. I always make sure to try the corn chowder and the California Split when I dine here. If you're a fan of spicy food, this is the place for you! They have the best selection of hot sauces in the county. Plus, they keep the building at a comfortable 62 degrees, which adds to the pleasant dining experience. I really admire the owner of this establishment and I'm so glad to see him doing well!

I have to admit, it's been a while since my last visit at their old location, but this is one of those places I reminisce about with family after we moved away. When we discuss the best sandwich we've ever eaten, most of us agree it was from Vista’s Icebox. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water: fresh avocado, crunchy sprouts, crisp cucumbers, high-quality turkey, and the softest, freshest bread imaginable. Based on the recent reviews and photos, it seems they still maintain the same high-quality experience and ingredients I remember.
