As of April 2024, Rumors that the Vista store is going out of business is non existent! Daughter of owners just opened a store in San Diego down town area. I have a friend who drives from LaJolla to Vista for their chocolate peanut butter malt. This is a very cool family restaurant thats been in business for 40 years. Very, very reasonable prices! There are a lot of good reviews on this place, but I went to get some food. Looking in the kitchen while the lady was preparing my food, the kitchen looked dirty. She was also not wearing gloves or a bra. There weren't a lot of people, but it still took a long time to receive my food. Great vista spot for ice cream treats and cheap but good food! Also dog friendly which is a plus for our family!
I always visit this place when I'm in town to see my Dad. This time I brought my grandson and my daughters. Food is good here. People are nice.
Greatest mom and pop ice cream shop ever!!. Chili cheese fries, and a Bahama blast shake. Life long go to on cheat day. Danny is a really great owner. Pillar of this community. This place is an absolute staple of Vista. The prices are outrageously good. And the food is also pretty good. Ever since the summer started eating up my wife and I have been going there a lot more often. Burgers, fries,shake, ice cream,you want it they got it. My particular favorite is onion rings
It's exactly as you'd expect. Not great, but not bad. Icecream was the best part.
