When here after a whole day at the beach party of 7 we ordered The Octopus salad 2 fried chicken sandwich fried chicken thighs with mashed potatoes bacon mac n cheese an a summer salad which was all amazing the Chicken Sandwich stood out the piece of meat was twice as big as the bun hugging it favor full and worth the . The mashed potatoes was creamy fluffy and packed with flavor it could stand on its own. Octopus was grilled to perfection with a charred smoked flavor and the savory/sweet sauce on the plate was finger licking good. We also ordered a Mule which could of used some more liquor tasted like lime juice also their lemonade was good the waiter said its freshly made in house.Overall great food

Flying Pig is such an unexpected gem in every way. The food is simple but is done so well and incorporates slightly unusual ingredients (shallot jam, grits, peppercorn cream , so it seems almost exotic and most definitely elevated. The beer selection is small but is incredibly well-curated, wine selection is shockingly large, and the happy hour is great. We have actually never had a full dinner here (travesty! , we tend to stop in for a couple happy hour appetizers, a salad (the wedge is unreal and massive , and drinks. The pork belly is high on our list to try, though! This is definitely slightly off the beaten path (i.e., Coast Hwy , but still easily accessible.
