Despite mixed reviews, my experience at Colimas Mexican Restaurant left me pleasantly surprised. While some patrons complained of bland, cold food and slow service, my meal was nothing short of perfect. The Parrillada was absolutely delicious, and the attentive staff, particularly Chewy (Jesse), made the dining experience truly enjoyable. The atmosphere was great, with both indoor and outdoor seating options available. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and the homemade corn tortillas that came with the seafood Parrillada were a delightful touch. Whether you're a local or just passing through Hanford, I highly recommend giving Colimas a try for a taste of some amazing Mexican food.
My husband and i live in Hanford and because there are not any good restaurants in Hanford we decided to try Colimas for the 1st time. We were very impressed and loved the food and the friendly hospitality. We will definitely be coming back.
Great little Mexican restaurant in downtown Visalia. Prices are still very affordable and food is very authentic. You’re not getting Taco Bell in this place. Their chips and salsa rock! Make sure you’re hungry because the food is legit. Enjoy!
You have the best seafood parillada. I love it coming with homemade corn tortillas. The staff were really friendly. Great place to taste some amazing food. We didn't have to wait long to get our food.
Never again. Im a local and this is on the main strip for downtown. We decided to go on a whim to give it a shot. We got in at 6pm, they close at 9pm, but they were turning tables and serving food like they closed in 30. We got sat and were asked fordrinks, we just did water, 20 minutes passed no chips or Salsa and our server avoiding the table. I had to stand up and chasedown the hostess to ask for chips and salsa and then she said I forgot to tell you, were out of chips and salsa . Your aMexican restaurant. You serve chips and salsa 7 days a week and the ppl next to us had them. What ever. That 's a minor offensecompared to the food we received. We ate our food, paid and left because I refuse to complain to a poor worker and ruin thierNight BUT please listen to me when I tell you each dinner plate was $15.99 and not only is that all you receive, it was BLAND.Yes, you heard me. The beef in the DRY enchiladas tasted like boiled beef with absolutely no spices. The chicken chile Verde, beans and rice needed to be salted and I ended up asking for extra enchilada sauce and using some of my husband sauce on my foodit was that bland. The beans were watery and tasted like nothing, the rice was basically white rice tossed with some seasoning. To top it all off my food was cold. Not super cold but enough to notice and I almost asked if they had a microwave. IM WHITE andmake better Mexican food than this joint. Please save your money and go down the street to valascos or eltrasco. Not only willservice be more personal, the food will actually be seasoned and taste better. I 'm really not upset at the service, it wasmediocre but maybe it was a bad night, but the food was a sad excuse for a Mexican restaurant especially since there are so manyother good Mexican joints in visalia to choose from.
Sat and Sat and we're never waited on A family walked through the door and the started taking their order so we started to leave and I said we'll be back when you're less busy. (they weren't that busy) A male walked up to the hostess and asked in Spanish ifwe had paid..For What nothing You didn't offer us anything.
