I was eager to try this restaurant after hearing that diners enjoyed their meals and that vegan options were clearly labeled. However, most of the vegan dishes featured smoked tofu, which had been removed from the menu recently due to health concerns. As a result, many of the vegan options were not available. I ended up ordering the wild herb risotto, but found it to be rather bland and had to add a lot of salt and pepper to enhance the flavor.
Really enjoyed the tofu pasta and the views. It was so refreshing to find somewhere that labels veggie and vegan options and the food was tasty.
Riblji is the top choice for vegans in Komiža. The menu clearly indicates vegan and vegetarian options. I tried the risotto, but I would suggest trying something different as it was a bit oily. My friend ordered the tofu pasta and it was delicious. If you want to read my Vegan Guide to Vis and Hvar, you can find it here: [hidden link]
My dining companion and I ordered the pasta (which was very good) and the salad (which had a lot of vinegar) with tofu. The tofu was a bit strange, but overall we thought it was okay. We couldn't find anything else to eat in Komiža except for one cheeseless pizza. The waiter didn't seem to be knowledgeable about vegan options, even though they are clearly labeled on the menu. I was so excited to try here after reading that people here enjoyed their meals and that vegan options were clearly marked. Most vegan options had smoked Tofu, but the waiter informed us that for 2 weeks before Croatia were told that Tofu was unhealthy so that it had been removed from the menu! So the vegan options that were clearly marked were many unavailable. I went for the wild Krautsotto. It was quite bland, so I was savoring salt and pepper.
