We visited on a Sunday afternoon about 1PM and Whiskey Kitchen was a little busy. We sat outside since it was warm and sunny. Our server Monica was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the cheesy chicken which was good and tasty. There were two pieces of chicken covered lightly with pesto, topped with cheese and on a bed of corn salsa. My cousin ordered a chicken breast sandwich with fries. The chicke... View all feedback.
What Assunta Rau doesn't like about The Whiskey Kitchen:
Service is not customer-focused. The food is above average, and I applaud the local beer selection. However, I will not patronize this location again. After we placed our dessert order with the server, she returned to tell us that the chef didn't want to sell the cheesecake yet. I'm not sure if these people understand how a retail establishment works, but you don't advertise food, then deny it to your patrons because... View all feedback.
I was disappointed when we visited the 2/21 for restaurant week. all my choices were from the restaurant weekly menu. the chowder was far too strong. I'm from new england, so I know how clam chowder should taste. it was exaggerated, with an overwhelming clam taste. I'm sure it's spoiled. the chicken pancake could have been good, except that the (I think), estragon was added and not much else and it was from the balance. also the kartoffels were a little firm. the dessert was two huge cookies with ice in between and it wasn't what I presented on the description on the menu. my daughter got the Korean bbq ripen as an appetizer and it was a lot blowing and not much meat. Delish. I have the beet, the second time. Beautifully seasoned shrunk, which I swear tastes like rare bark. for me it was not good; the really delicious home cooked thick chips, would have to choose for the green beans.
If after a moxie or milestone type site is this! good service good food and gluten-free choices. ing the problem of nutritional problems. better than anything on virginia beach and not so far.
I had the 24 steak without taste, coleslaw was rough.
Yum!. It'd It's a pricey little spot but they have a great beer selection. The foods pretty good too! Now that they've been open for a bit the wait staff is better. The first time I went my mom's food was last to come out and cold.. For a 25 or so dollar steak that's unacceptable. Being the last to finish eating is always award so our first trip was subpar. The second trip was much better! Food was great came out in a decent time!
