I ordered a gyro with French fries and a small slice of baklava; I was surprised that the meal costs more than $17. The gyro was big but the meat were dry and salty. The fries looked like they were from frozen bag. Baklava was good but dry. Finally, the lady at the counter reeks like she just smoked a pack of cigarettes; she’s not so welcoming and just waited for me to order. No greetings of some sort. Too much for a... Outstanding food with great service! Owner and staff friendly and attentive. They offer not only authentic Greek, but also limited Italian (pizza and the like). Clean and spacious family place. Fell in love with the mural hand-crafted in the back! Definitely a do over! Peace.
I'd give Papa's 100 stars if I could. The food is always mouth watering, the flavors are unlike anything or any other Greek restaurant I have found in Hampton Roads. They are a beautiful family that will make you feel as though you were always part of it. I will always recommend Papa's to anyone who will listen and recommend my personal favorite, the Mediterranean Chicken Wrap with either fries or a Greek salad, to everyone!
Papa's Greek Family restaurant was great ! I tried a gyro for the first time ever and I loved it . The atmosphere and staff were friendly, this is an all around awesome place to eat !
Best gyro in Va Beach! I love their appetizers too and the baklava is to die for. Service is excellent too and the server is very friendly. Love this place!
Pleasantly surprised on the great quality of food Discoverd this place by accident. Wish they had more of a selection of main dish items but I will be back.
