We've been going to Famous Uncle Al's in Chesapeake the VB Boulevard location for years. Every time we tried this location it just wasn't that great. BUT, they recently turned over to a new owner and renovated the space. Man, it's a world of difference. We went this evening and the staff was great and welcoming. Food was just as solid as the other locations. They chatted us up and were very kind. Since this location turned itself around and is the closest of them all, we'll definitely be back.
Great hot dogs, friendly staff. The chicken parm is a must try.

The hot dogs and the turkey sandwich (and the crushed ice! were tasty; the service was prompt; everything was clean; and everybody was friendly.
