El Borincano - Virginia Beach

Great food. A little of the island here in Virginia Beach. Really good service.

The appetizers were amazing, the sorullitos were definitely the best. But unfortunately they treated my mother terribly on MOTHERS DAY. We kindly returned some food we did not like and were still going to pay but when our server (very kind) returned the food to the kitchen the door was left open and we heard the owner yell ?see I told you they only wanted free food?. If you have ever gone to this restaurant you would know how small it is so imagine how Incredibly embarrassing it is for EVERYONE to hear it. When my mom went up to address the situation she was quickly rude and a liar. The table behind us was shocked at the fact we were getting treated so badly. Not once did we mention we were not going to pay or that we were unsatisfied with the service until we were being yelled at. Then the owner continued to yell that we didn?t have to pay for anything but to never return to her establishment. If you look at the previous reviews you would see she threatens everyone with cameras but I would love for her to post the video of her yelling and calling us liars. We still paid because at no point we?re we going to accept free food from an establishment who would throw it in our faces. Overall I believe if the restaurant had a better management it would?ve been better. Not to mention there were no restrooms or heater so we were freezing. I hope god can bless this restaurant and the management to bring clarity into what a good service is.

Amazing Authentic food. I came to Virginia for the first time found this hidden Gem, my teenagers couldn?t get enough we came back for seconds. I highly recommend for everyone to try!!!! You won?t be disappointed.

I ordered from this restaurant through Grubhub. The food was just ok. I expected better. The yellow rice and peas were dry and tasteless. The roast pork was just like stale. I ordered early like right when the restaurant opened and I expected to have some great tasting food and I did not get that.

You want authentic fresh Puertrican food, this mom n pops restaurant is the place, trust me, I've tried them all here in Hampton Roads. I'm not a food critic, but I do now what real Puertorican food should taste like. The price per plate is also very reasonable compared to other over rated PR restaurants. Forth a try and you'll see why.
