This is the kind of restaurant I enjoy reviewing. Yes it’s not fancy and it’s a bit out of the way but boy is the food delicious and truly friendly “welcome home” service. The other day I had the BLT, made the way my grandmother used to make them, might even be better then hers. The other menu items definitely look worth trying. I saw the club sandwich served to an adjoining table and it looked delicious as well. Bot... View all feedback.
What Z doesn't like about Gina's Cafe In The Park:
The menu is OK. Your typical American diner fare. Nothing special. On the occasion I visited I was ignored by the waitress who I'm assuming was the daughter of the cook as I had to listen to them scream at each other for the duration of my visit. I ordered a burger and fries with an iced tea; the iced tea was basically water with ZERO tea, the burger had an extra ingredient I didn't request (an eggshell) and the frie... View all feedback.
The service was decent and their hot chocolate was delicious but burnt my tongue a bit, it comes with whipped cream, the cafe is pretty big but it’s very old. When we got the food it was amazing, the breakfast burrito was delicious but the burger was well done and dry, the fries were nothing special and had no seasoning but were good. Fruit were fresh and good. A couple of downsides are that it’s very expensive “60 dollars” for not that much food and the food takes forever to get to your table, ham was from a can they only gave me 1 toast and it was cold, dry, and hard. The orange juice took forever and was not fresh. overall 3 1/2 stars I would come again.

If you're really looking for the American diner experience I can say for sure that this isn't it. It was definitely a shame as I had been recommended this place by a few friends. Would not return.
Solid great breakfast. Pancakes to the eggs and bacon. Gina is terrific. Jersey girl
Breakfast was poor tasting due to poor preparation. Food was a long time coming. Hash browns were delivered first on a large plate without anything else, so they sat around getting cold. Later a second plate came with runny scrambled eggs and a few limp fatty pieces of bacon, with plenty of empty space where hash browns could have been. Pancakes were the thinnest ever seen as if sliced on a sandwich meat slicer yielding an almost tasteless experience. Server only came around at the end with the check, so there was no chance to request food corrections, even though she had plenty of time to chitchat with other regular customers. In summary, they didn’t care about service or food preparation on this day, and I would advise anyone to avoid this poor excuse for a restaurant.
Good food. Will go back next time we are in the area.
