South Vineland Tavern

Uno Amigo Dan embarked on an unauthorized journey to sample Philadelphia cheesesteaks at the South Vineland Tavern. He captured some great photos during his visit, which you can check out below. Spoiler alert: he thoroughly enjoyed it!

On Saturdays, SVT serves a FREE buffet featuring many items from Larry's catering menu. The only cost is for drinks, which is an unbeatable deal. This past Saturday, the buffet included potato and macaroni salads, rolls, rigatoni, meatballs, baked mac and cheese, and an incredibly flavorful spicy sausage dish that was simply fabulous (it nearly burned my lips off—wow!). You can indulge in as much food as you want while watching the game or a race on the large TV, all for just a few bucks for drinks. Overall, it's a great experience. *Bonus: the bathrooms are surprisingly nice and clean, which boosted my rating from 3.5 stars to 4.

This place is a hidden gem during the week, offering inexpensive cold beer. The food is outstanding! Everything we've tried has been delicious. It has a dive bar vibe, but the atmosphere is really friendly. We come here at least once a week!

Great local dive bar where everybody knows your name . Bartenders are nice, but let 's face it, they aren 't there to take anyone 's smack! Food is great and there 's a lot of variety, so not just greasy bar finger food. Don 't expect any frills or fancy cocktails though. This is clearly shot and a beer bar. My favorite bartender is Linda! Bar and Bathrooms are surprisingly clean. 4 stars as far as dive bars go!

Talk about delicious food! I love this place, their prices are great and the staff remembers you by name.. for a dive bar it's amazing.
