The personnel is friendly, the service is nice, the waiting time is acceptable, the prices are reasonable, but the food is just nothing special. As Ukrainians we felt it was too generic and oriented on broader circle of visitors, which is OK, but nothing extraordinary. Chicken Kyiv was good, Borsch somewhat too sour, Dumplings with cherry good enough, until my tooth met with cherry pit, Mors (cranberry drink) was very good. Overall good enough to taste Ukrainian cuisine, but don 't have big expectation.
A Ukrainian restaurant without solyanka. The salo I got was rotten. Some was salo, some was rotten ham. What the hell is salo pate? Do not order this. This is a worse version of the Polish smalec. The kiev cottlet is minimalist-two tiny raps. This restaurant was good 5 years. It definetly needs an uplift and new managment. Too expensive.
Enjoyed the local food. Too bad they were out of the duck dumplings, but the meat ones and the saurkraut soup were both good.
It's very tasty, very tasty indeed. Take a big portion of borscht you won't regret it. The lovely atmosphere, the interesting authentic decor, and the paintings on the walls made us as happy as the food. I want to go back and try everything we couldn't eat the first time. I recommend
