One of the evenings we spent in the villafranche surgical dinners at the restaurant of the espalamador. And you didn't make a mistake. We're very happy because there was a nice atmosphere with a beautiful view of the coast. Service was at the highest level, dishes diversity, nice staff. Even at the end of the evening, the chief himself went out to see how it went. It was nice. View all feedback.
What Daniel Muro doesn't like about Espalmador:

We were 4 persons: one ordered same sea bass ceviche as mine, bit decided not to eat it, one ordered salmon salad and couldn't finish the fish, as it didn't taste right, and 4th person ordered meat tartare that was the only good tasting dish of us four, so maybe the fish food is just not the strong side of this restaurant? Wine was good s well! :
We had just come from a visit to Monaco complete waste of time IMHO and were hankering for good food and drink. We got off the train and were looking for a pleasant atmosphere when we came upon Espalmador. The service was outstanding and the food just as good. We started with burrata and what I can only describe as heirloom tomatoes and thought we had died and gone to heaven. We almost didn't need a second course two of us had fish and the third had exquisite shrimp. All in all, highly recommended.

We were big fans of Beluga which occupied this spot before Espalmador. Richard ran a great gig there. Apologies Richard but the new team have taken a good place and made it better. The focus here is on the food which is beautifully prepared. The flavours are astounding. So fresh, the béarnaise had a wonderful flavour not just a texture. The monkfish and apple curry wonderful. The staff are enthusiastic and keen to learn from feedback. We had a wonderful evening. If you are on the harbour side keep going until you reach espalmador, if you are out of town you are in luck the restaurant is two down from the back entrance to the station.
The restaurant is very nice and one foot from the sea! the dishes were very well presented! the staff is lovely a great place to discover!
