We had a lunch here recently after visiting the Grottes de la Grande Canalette and were most impressed. The portions were very generous and extremely tasty. My wife had the quiche and I had the pizza - it looked almost like a quiche with a very deep filling and was stupendously tasty. Wine and mineral water were both reasonably priced.Staff very helpful. All in all, a very good choice. View all feedback.

Situated within the ramparts of the stunning village of Villefranche de Conflent, this is a pleasant little cafe. As it was sunny we sat in the pleasant courtyard, but I should add that the interior bar/cafe is really cosy and nicely decorated. We only wanted drinks, but I must say that the food we saw being served looked very good. The prices are also very reasonable with the plat du jour circa 7 Euros. Our waiter was... View all feedback.
This is a fab little hideaway for drinks did not eat there but was made feel very welcome a firefighter runs this place and omg they are true hero's! Very friendly good wine whats not to like!
As myself and my parents were out wandering the lovely streets of Villafranche on a warm Autumn afternoon we decided to go for lunch. We came to a small, lively restaraunt in the sun and sat down at a table, place was rather busy as not many other resteraunts were open granted it was October 31st, menus came quick enough and we decided what we wanted. After a long wait the waitress came over and told us that the majority of the menu wasnt on today, we briskly changed orders as she stood there not wanting to cause more delay. 2 pizzas and a croq'monsieur (expected to be a small grilled or toasted sandwich) for my rather hungry father.20-30 minutes later we began looking around and notice several other tables nearby with nothing on front of them noticably looking hungry and impatient. The waitress then returned to our table and placed 1 very black pizza infront of me, then says to my mother in rapid french something about desole and choose something else. My mother looks at the menu a 3rd time and picks out an Assiette-bistrot, a basic plate of meats and cheeses, therefore shouldnt take too long. The waitress hurries off again and my Dad jokes 'not coming here again' but i can see the sincerity in his eyes. I attempt to quite literally saw through this fairly black pizza, we guessed they burnt the other one horribly and chose not to hand it out. Eating slowly so i can enjoy atleast some of my meal while my parents are eating too, and also to make sure I dont choke on the rock hard crusts. I dont finish it as portions are inedible but sit back and worry what my dad will do if they starve him much longer. We sit for another 10 minutes and we notice another table calling the waitress over and not sounding too happy. 10 minutes again and she runs over and dumps 2 pieces of bread, some ham, tomatoe and what looks to be relish just spread on the side of the plate on front of my dad. He looks down and pauses, rising his head and throwing up his arms in disgust he looks back up and the waitress is gone again. Fiddling at it with his knife in outrage, he says again, more certain this time, 'not coming here again'. The table of 2 across from us leaves and i notice a €10 note held under a glass. I mention it to my parents, explaining that roughly 5 to 10 quid a meal each and a wine glass and a pint glass on the table adds up to more than a tenner. My dad looks over and sees a cheeky 'petit mot' left with it. He begins his 'lunch' with a far from satisfied look on his face and manages to finish before my mother's meal had even arrived. The two of them plotting their own petit mot and giving ourselves a polite discount also but theyre slightly dissapointed when the lack of a pen takes away this oppurtunity. The Waitress finally comes out again and hands my mother her dish. Arguably looking the best out of the 3, but stale salami and moderatley gone-off serano ham counter outs that award. A man in an apron charges out of the resteraunt and begins clearing tables. He finds the note on the table and reads aloud with a number of comedic facial expressions. Then Dad roughly translates it to 'your food was awful, your service was awful, your resteraunt is awful. We are not happy'. The (maybe) chef lets out a sigh and a smile and heads back inside with the note. I now see the unhappy letter managed to take up the entire back side of the menu, atleast my review was a little more detailed! Only one plate on our table was cleared, my dad's, as he recieved only about 5 items of food on it anyway. The table to our right had been giving a large amount of meat to their dog on the floor and the other side who came later but a long while yet were still waiting to be served. The bill was asked for and paid in full with suprisingly no bad language used, but as we leave the premises my Dad repeats for the hundreth time, 'not coming here again, never again.' And to prove, he has given me permission to roast this place on quote on quote '' one of them tripadvisor facechatbook things '' so I have, and I hope they see.. this took forever.Dublin Ireland

Me and my husband and two children took a couple of drinks here. We thought it was a relaxed place. A good atmosphere and near a "Champinjon" store.
