We only had time to stay for coffee and beer. Coffee was excellent and the beer tasty! We would have done lunch..the menu looked really good. Lovely place, lovely people. Next time we pass through we will definately stay for lunch. View all feedback.
What Alex David doesn't like about Bar du Dinandier:
The new owners have managed to destroy the wonderful atmosphere that was so unique in the Dinandier. Both owners are unfriendly and show about as much warmth as an iceberg. The Dinandier was always busy and absolutely packed on Tuesday, market day. Gone are the days that you had to fight to get a chair. Empty chairs enough nowadays as many regulars - the Dinandier was the favourite with many expats - have disappeared... View all feedback.
Often spend a lazy hour or two here when we visit Normandy . Always friendly & quick service plus they serve food all afternoon when others are quintessentially French & still play the 12-2pm food service or forget it ! Decent rump steak , fries , dip served with bread , water & a smile for 13eur ? What more could you want from a town bar ?Villedieu itself for those who have never visited is Normandy town ooozing picture postcard charm so always worth a visit & only 5mins on / off the main A84 autoroute .
Beautiful place, very nice people, will be returning soon, ladies shoes too rich for me, the bread on the other hand was fantastic. Superb shop for Desigal clothes called Milly Rose, just opposite the very beautiful church
We just had coffee, it was good. service was friendly. The landlady recommended a lovely new creperie for our lunch and that was excellent.
This was a busy restaurant/bar back in the day when it was run by Michelle and his mother but now owned by lady who tried to rip us off by putting x3 beer and a coke instead of x2 and a coke on our bill. When I queried it she said that the Stella beer was 3 euros each and the bill was ok, but I pointed to the tarriff clearly visible on the wall 2.40 euros...she muttered something and gave me my correct change..I have a holiday home in this town so will not be patronising this bar again...go to le cafe des moulins instead or the other bars across the street
