This is one of the few places to eat slightly stylized local cuisine and the food is good. The house the restaurant is in is well renovated and attractive. It's a great place to get away from giant hunks of meat but still eat something regional. It's definitely worth going if you are in the area so you can try something a bit different. What User doesn't like about Bastimento:
Reading all of these reviews after dining at Bastimento I am wondering if maybe it was just a bad night things happen, right? A really nice menu with local flavors interwoven, and certainly, they know meat. Our steaks were tough, over cooked and not particularly hot. It's not like Bastimento was busy when we were there...so I chalked it up to people not caring. This is a pricey restaurant by Colombian standards. 10,0... View all feedback.

I expected better and so should you. I would recommend many other restaurants ahead of Bastimento. And for sure, this is not even close to being one of the best restaurants in the country as claimed by other reviewers.
My first time at this restaurant, Had lunch with my parents! I was surprised with the beautiful menu, once of those occasions you want to have everything, I had Amarillo ala Monseñor and was delicious, the entree as well were super good! The same week some friends took me again and this time for breakfast and again everything was superb, I had calentado y arepitas and everything was yummy...
This is a mall restaurant a bit fancier. The have no wine list and the food is not great. It was ok as it was one of the few that was open until 10 PM. But if you think you are going to a fancy restaurant... IT IS NOT.
One of the best food I tasted in Colombia after 6 years living in the country. And the view is spectacular!
