We took a chance and stopped in on a Saturday evening. It is completely unassuming from the outside, but I'm so glad we took a chance! The food was fresh and delicious, the wine was good, and everything was reasonably priced! The server was attentive and quick; the food took a little longer but it was worth it. We took a shot after looking at the online menu thinking the choices were really great sounding and worth a try. I even called a local who said she hadn't been there in years but thought it was quite good years ago. Unfortunately the menu choices didn't reflect the online menu and the food was very average. Excellent menu chef. Great decor on a 200+ yr old wood house B B, near the side of the Hudson River.
The dinner special was very good and the apple dumplings were delicious. Amanda is very attentive to all at the tables. Cozy atmosphere.
This was our second visit to this wonderful restaurant. We loved our dinner and will return! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming and the decor is charming. The salads were excellent, the split pea soup was fantastic. We both had the pork, which was accompanied by delicious broccoli and potatoes. And … the wine served by the glass was delicious and a generous pour. This restaurant “punches above its weight!”
