Really extraordinary experience. Essen was on point along with stellar service. Drinks were large with an amazing alcohol selection. Reservations are probably a good idea because it seems they are busy.

The freshly baked bread was delightful. We both ordered chicken and rice soup, which was tasty, along with the pasta and meatballs. To our surprise, the duck dish came with either soup or salad. My husband chose the angel hair pasta, while I opted for penne. There was a generous amount of sauce, and the meatballs were quite good. However, my penne was slightly overcooked for the amount of sauce it had, but there was so much that I ended up taking some home. The menu features many classic Italian dishes, making it worthwhile to return for another visit.

I would gladly give this restaurant 10 stars if it were possible! Let's start with the atmosphere; it has a charming blend of Old New York and a touch of Little Italy. Now, on to the food—absolutely delicious! The bread, oh my goodness, the bread! Served hot and freshly baked, even late on a Sunday night, accompanied by fresh butter. And then there’s the lasagna! It’s one of the best I’ve ever had, if not the very best. The rich crushed tomato sauce, tender noodles, savory meat, and gooey cheese combine to create a dish that is simply divine. I can't praise this place enough. Everything was fantastic, from the food to the service and generous portion sizes.
