What Emily Penn doesn't like about Basari Kosher Deli:
We have had some terrible experiences with Basari. The meat has not been fresh on several occasions. Recently we bought foul smelling expired meat. We are also not pleased with their wings and find they have feathers coming out of them. Also, their thanksgiving Turkey arrived with no skin and the response we got was that’s how all the turkeys came in. It was embarrassing to put out. . It’s unfortunate because my fami... Great kosher butcher and supermarket! Have so many great things! Red velvet cookies to bake, parve almond milk. Great meats!

Amazing service!I have even tried their house made Jerky and sausages. Really excellent!I frequently cook for people who do not keep kosher and they cannot believe how good the foods are! Some have actually asked me where I get my meats from!Try Basari, you will be glad you did!
Seriously went downhill when Abby left, which was maybe 4 months after opening. I have gotten so much spoiled meat and meat with peoples hair on it. I have also sent in the most specifically detailed orders via email you could ever hope to receive, as well as called them to reaffirm and go over the order, and they still give me the wrong cuts of meat. If you order Sliced chicken cutlet, you should not be getting tenders or split chicken breast. I've also asked them 100x to vacuum seal the meat without the styrofoam under it so I can easily defrost it and every time they put the styrofoam in the package. Even when you're standing there placing the order, there's no comprehension. It actually unbelievable. They now refuse to deliver to me and make me come in to LOOK at my orders before I take them. Unfortunately, if the meat is packaged and sealed you cannot smell if it's fresh or not. So I've still gotten home with spoiled meat. I couldn't make it in to pick up my order today so I sent my husband and Jordana gave him the nastiest attitude the second he said our name. MY husband actually called me and told me that the way she spoke to him about me it was like she wished ill on me. Which is pretty crazy considering every issue has been their fault and I have continued to give them so many chances because there aren't many kosher butchers!!!! Needless to say, today was our last time using this butcher! They should take more pride in their buisness and want to give people the best quality they can. Such a shame, was so excited to have a kosher butcher so close!! Also, steer clear of the kids chicken fingers if you do give them a chance. There's something really weird about them, like really weird.

We have had some terrible experiences with Basari. I've purchased several items that were not fresh, and had expired sell dates. We also find the chicken wings have feathers sticking out of them . Our Turkey for thanksgiving came with no skin. It was embarrassing. It's unfortunate because we were looking forward to having a kosher market so close to home.
