Located across from Pewaukee Lake Artisan 179 offers beautiful views. The upscale atmosphere makes a perfect gathering place for parties, business gatherings or a nice spot for a romantic evening . What Better Worse doesn't like about Artisan 179:
Did love this place then I learned that they started using seed oil soy as their frying oil.Seed oils are one of, if not, the unhealthiest possible food (they aren 't food, they 're poison) one can ingest. The apple crisp desert is awful, it tastes kind of alright but it 's something I would expect at an inner-city McDonald 's.I go to Artisan so I don 't have to eat corporate meals that were premade in a factory. Great food, great service and great place for work related venues. The second floor provides the privacy you need while giving you and your guests excellent views of the lake.
My husband and I went for dinner this evening and we would HIGHLY recommend Artisan 179!! The live music, our waitress Kelly, the drinks the food were all amazing. The best dining experience we’ve had in awhile. We will 100% be back!
I normally don't go out on Valentine's Day, but because I was entertaining a business client from out of town we decided to visit Artesian 179. I remembered it fondly because I had been there circa 2017-2018 and thought it was an excellent little eclectic restaurant with a great location. Clearly, Covid's after effects are still lingering throughout the restaurant industry the examplebeing Artisan 179 botched dinner service. Valentine's Day was the day we had a reservation for and our waiter Bryce was amazing! He was probably the highlight of the dining experience because he gave exemplary customer service. The sad part would be the undercooked salmon that was raw in the middle that I'd already taken a bite out of and the risotto that had not been cooked correctly was overcooked and some areas and tased like it was scraped from the bottom of whatever pan it was in or that it's sat too long. But the worst part of the dining experience was when the owner of the restaurant came to address our table and asked if I'd like to take the salmon home and cook it a little more after I had refused to have it taken back to the kitchen and cooked because it had already been sauteed and whatever sauce it was in and sitting for almost 25 minutes. At that point I felt like I was at a Papa Murphy's take and bake and I had no intention of taking the half cooked salmon home finishing what the chef should have done in the kitchen in the first place and eating it ever again. I was shocked to learn that this owner formerly worked for the Bartolotta's restaurants which I frequent quite often especially Lake Park Bistro. It is sad to see that through all his restaurant experiences he would have the audacity to make that suggestion and then still charge me for the salmon that I ate five bites of one of them being the raw finalbite of salmon. There was a free dessert involved but I still paid $150 for a meal mind you the salmon and the risotto were still on my receipt. I didn't want to argue with the owner or complain anymore because clearly at the end of the day artesian 179 will take any sort of publicity to bring you in and let you have the coin toss of an evening whether it'll be good or bad. So I did pay the bill and tip well because Bryce has nothing to do with the kitchens inabilities to produce a good dish. I'm currently reaching out to other restaurant industry advocates for advice on how Artesian 179 could have handled this better and I'm collecting these stories from industry chefs and restaurant owners and starting a blog. Sometimes the simplest matters that could be solved with poise and diplomacy are killed by one's pride therefore making it impossible for them to be open to development. Remember folks we never stop learning and I hope that Artesian 179 if anything learns that turning out bad food even if to just one or two persons on top of rectifying the situation badly or poorly does not help your business grow. 5 stars all around. My cousin's wife had her bridal shower here, and today her baby shower. Everyone is so kind, food and drinks delish. Keep up the great work!
