What Shelby Shultz doesn't like about Tom Wahl's Newark:
First time visit. Awesome dining atmosphere. Prices for basically fast food were a bit steep. We spent $40 on 2 happy hour floats, a garbage plate, and a fish dinner. (Neither meal came with a drink might I add. I don't think we will be visiting again. Food was hot and fresh but okay at best. View all feedback.
The Fun Cheeseburger Meal and the Fun Burger Meal were just the right portions. The crispy onion rings were excellent. However, the macaroni salad could have definitely used a bit more salt and pepper as it was quite bland. The dill pickles on the side tasted a bit off this time. On the bright side, the homemade root beer was outstanding!

The fries were hot and crispy, perfectly cooked. The burger didn’t hold up quite as well, but it still tasted fantastic. And the homemade root beer? Wow, that was a game changer! Haha!
The Mac noodles were under cooked and dry. No flavor. I literally got two tablespoons of meet sauce. Worst 17 dollars I ever spend.
It was good as always. The only thing I wish you could do was put special instructions because I usually get light ketchup and mustard on my burgers.
