I absolutely love Werner's. When we first moved to the area, my friend and I visited frequently, and the food was consistently excellent. The owners were incredibly friendly, and our visits became a regular part of our routine. However, it's been several years since we last stopped by. Today, we returned, and to our delight, the owner recognized us and greeted us with the same warmth we remembered. The food was just... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Werner's Deli Co:
I traveled 20 miles specifically to try their German potato salad, but it was just average—something felt like it was missing, probably the bacon. However, the pierogi and kielbasa were quite good. View all feedback.

While waiting for my food, I took pictures of the menu for future reference, but I noticed that the price for my order was listed as $8.99. I assumed the $0.80 difference was for tax, but the tax rate seems a bit off. As for the food, I thought the omelette was okay, although my husband felt it was slightly overcooked. Neither of us enjoyed the home fries, as they were just stir-fried potatoes that lacked crispness and flavor.
Around 1970 or so, there were two delis on Jericho Turnpike, Johnny’s and Werner’s. (honorable mention to Ardito’s, which is still there and apparently still owned by the Ardito’s). I noticed Werner’s was still there. Werner must be about 100 years old by now. When I checked it out I learned Werner’s isn’t really Werner’s anymore. I read a review that said the new owners would have made Werner proud. I have to agree. A little less emphasis on salads and catering, but great selection of specialty sandwiches, excellent fresh bread and rolls, and fair prices.
Kim Sue. A wonderful neighborhood deli. Clean location and fresh everything. They have kept Werners tradition alive. I'm a customer for 25 years.
This is a fantastic local deli! Kim and Sue are very friendly to everyone who stops by. They prepare delicious sandwiches, and during the holiday season, if you place your order ahead of time, they offer freshly made pies—like apple, pumpkin, coconut custard, and more—that are simply delightful! My personal favorite is the coconut custard pie. The prices are quite reasonable, and the quality is better than many of the busy bakeries in the area.
