Customers rave about the homemade noodles, fresh ingredients, and unique dishes. The owner is friendly and accommodating, adding a personal touch to each visit. The menu is constantly changing to highlight seasonal offerings from the San Juans. The outdoor seating area is perfect for summer dining, while the cozy interior is great for colder days. Overall, the food is delicious, with a focus on locally sourced ingredients and creative dishes. Don't miss this gem on Lopez Island.
This place is absolutely fantastic. If it were in a big city, it would be much more famous. but I'm glad it's not in a big city. everything is homemade. homemade noodles, homemade noodles, etc. all meat, fish and vegetables are local. the meat is smoked in the house. the broth are homemade and rich and very robust. if they have any food restrictions, josh, the cook can put. the wine, beer and apple wine list is very well cured and has local/regional materials, but it is an international list. a great place for vegetarian, vegan and carnivores.
We ate here twice, the first for an sourded pancake breakfast and the next day for the rams. if I had to describe it in three words, it would be distinctive, conscious and tasty. the pancakes were lubricated with scaling and served with a sauce that is not different from okonomiyaki sauce. the smoker consisted of handmade full grain noodles with a light but warming broth. both dishes came with local greens, icing, well-maintained wobbles and swarm bells, which marined and had only the perfect amount of crumbles on the edges, while the fat melted in the mouth and the flesh remained tender. and the whipped **** never before I had whipped in my life and if there was a perfect way to prepare it. the rarmen was absolutely different from the typical bowl, but its particularity will certainly keep in its memory, with its conscious selection of local ingredients, and especially it was delicious.
We had never expected that we had such a fabulous meal as we experience here! Do they feel so happy that they lived in and had one of the best meal times of our lives?
Deeply enjoyed her hearty sourded pancake breakfast. so much intentionality and contemplativeness to prepare and create ingredients. incredible people and cook. went back to try their fantastic beer selection. grateful to visit and excited to go back soon.
I love how this restaurant is using homemade noodles and udon! It is not often that I find restaurants that use local fresh ingredients. Sustainable and tasty! Amazingly cooked meat!My one critique is that my noodles were a tad over cooked and my soup was not quite hot enough. I would have preferred a harder cooked noodle. I also found the online ordering system a bit troublesome with the limited cell service on Lopez.
