Seestuben Restaurant - Villach Stadt

My wife and I just finished dinner in the Seestuben Restaurant. We knew we were in trouble when the waitress asked us whether we wanted the German or Italian language menu. When we said we couldn't understand either the German or Italian version she politely insisted we choose one or the other. We shrugged and chose the German version just to get by the impasse. My wife recognised and ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad. It had lots of chicken and not much salad. The whole thing was absolutely swamped in mayonnaise and my wife could taste very little else. I asked the waitress to guide me to the most popular items on the menu. Translating the recommendations into English turned out to be a chicken or pork schnitzel with chips and a bit of salad or a mixed grill with chips and some sautéed vegetables. I chose the latter. It was cooked ok but downright boring, lacking any class whatsoever. The bill came to 41 euros and included two glasses of Sprite at 5.20 euros per glass... all pretty expensive for a very ordinary meal. The piece de la resistance was finding out that the waitress charged us further 30 euro cents each for requesting a slice of lemon in our Sprites !! There it was.... itemised on the bill !!

Ein Genussmenü als Überraschung für Sie und Ihn, so wurde ein romantischer Abend zu zweit zu einem unvergleichlichen Erlebnis. Das Candle light Dinner spielte dabei alle Stückerln, bei der Reservierung wurde telefonisch lediglich abgeklärt, welche Speise aufgrund der Vorliebenrangliste nicht vorkommen sollte, der Rest wird ganz der Kreativität der Küche überlassen.....und die hatte es in sich !

Al ristorante si mangia bene anche se il menù è limitato a non tante pietanze però fatte bene . Il ristorante è molto carino (inserito in una stabile anni 80 in riva al lago )con la terrazza sul lago ben inserita nel contesto , bene per le cene al lume di candela. Personale di servizio molto gentile e positivamente sorridente. Prezzi normali per la zona dove è inserito (media della spesa 20 euro )

Ausgezeichnetes Essen, nett und festlich dekoriert, freundliches Personal, guter Wein... einfach super. Das Ambiente beim See ist auch perfekt. Gerne wieder!

Wir hatten Salate die sehr lecker angerichtet waren. Dazu gab es Brot und die üblichen zusätzlichen Dressings. Die Auswahl der Speisekarte war durchaus vielfältig.
