This review is only for the alphajores. mamuelquen is more famous for so handmade handmade alphajores. if you are not familiar with the alphajores, they are basically the national snack / dessert of Argentina. the competition for the "best alfajore" in Argentina is similar to the "best cafe" of San Francisco. They take these things very seriously. I am from oregon, but my wife is from Argentina and swears that they will be the favorite of the locals (and hers). So, you should go visit him, if nothing else to try the alphajores for yourself. the local convenience store in villa window also sells the alphajores mamuelquen for a dozen and a half dozen; they are excellent gifts to bring friends and family.
