We had one dish, bread, beers an... read more I went to this restaurante with my husband this past weekend. We had the Bacalhau à Braga. It was good, but a little too salty. We had one dish, bread, beers and shared a dessert. This was for lunch, we did not have starters, nor...coffees, and the bill was for two for lunch. By Portuguese standards this is expensive. We do not mind paying a little more than usual, but the food has to be amazing, which it was not. They also did not have any fresh fish, on a Saturday in March, in an ocean town, in front of the Marina...this did not really make any sense. We went purposely to eat fresh fish, so we were a bit disappointed.

Another restaurant hidden away but full of local workers and businessmen, Opted for set menu; me, tuna mayonaise paté with crutons followed by pork schnitzel wi... read more Another restaurant hidden away but full of local workers and businessmen, Opted for set menu; me, tuna mayonaise paté with crutons followed by pork schnitzel with mushroom sauce chips and salad; enough for hungry people and my wife Abrotea fish (I assume red snapper)...beautiful firm white fresh steaks with paprika potatoes and salad absolutely delicious. for desert a layered cake and for me a cinnamon baked apple. accompanied with a litre of vihno verde total bill Euros ridiculously cheap and great value. No surprise restaurant was full. Highly recommended

The portions are quite good and you will need to work hard to finish your own dish! The selection of wines is good and we need to...give a try to the white house wine and see how it is served... does it make difference... yes it makes Bacalhau and Polvo are one of may favorite dishes but in general all are quite good. Good place to try the fish really fresh ones. Deserts are also quite good. At the end, and most of the times, you can have a some schnapps home made that goes along with the coffee. Also good place for lunch time.
