Place is very cozy. The dining area is large enough. The building is an old building approx. 100 years old, as you can see the evidence 1 meter (3'3 wall with wooden beams and floor on the second floor. They serve bèef steaks and other mouthwater foods. You have your own beer brewery that the crew will tour us there. I and my son go both, so we just have 4 flavors of very satisfying beer. What Gerry Kris doesn't like about Calle Brewery:
This was a big letdown. They have 6 craft beers on the menu but only 1 was available. They have a big selection of meats on their menu but only 4 were available. Forget the seafood menu. The only thing available was the shrimp dish. We were severed our order of drinks and then our server disappeared for about 12 minutes. We had to order our limited selection of meats through a different waiter. We ordered the pork be... View all feedback.
Great food and service. There was no more draft beers on the evening we went but they got a good wine selection. Keep in mind it was a special holiday.
Amazing experience! Epic food and a super cool way to taste the different flavors of beer. Loved the beers!
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, which is among the best in Vigan. The meat dishes are generously portioned, making them perfect for larger groups. The staff is warm and attentive, providing excellent service. The atmosphere is cozy and truly captures the charm of Vigan. Additionally, it's conveniently located near the tourist hotspot, Calle Crisologo. I highly recommend this restaurant!
**Beer**: Unfortunately, as the previous reviewer mentioned, a major disappointment was the absence of any of their own beers. It's surprising to visit a brewery without tasting its beer. We ended up ordering San Mig Light, which was fine, but the main reason for our visit was to sample Calle Brewery's offerings. **Food**: We were expecting high-quality dishes, but instead we were served an average selection of smoked meats and vegetables drenched in melted margarine. The brisket was drier than the climate in Ilocandia and could have benefited from better smoking chips or a dry rub. On the positive side, the pulled pork was decent and much juicier than the brisket. **Service**: The waitstaff were attentive and polite, which deserves a star. **Ambiance**: The decor provides a charming walk down the Hispanic memory lane of the Philippines. We appreciate what they have done with the space, earning another star. It's understandable that the business has faced challenges during the pandemic. I hope they can ramp up their beer production in the coming months and improve the quality of their food.
This was quite a disappointment. They list six craft beers on the menu, but only one was available. While there's a wide selection of meats featured, only four were on offer. As for the seafood menu, the only option was a shrimp dish. After we received our drinks, our server vanished for around 12 minutes, and we had to place our limited meat order through another waiter. We decided on the pork belly and brisket. The brisket was delicious, but unfortunately, the pork belly was a bit dry.
