We had a nice meal in the kitchen of Vienna. Our table was comfortable and quiet, the service was first class. We chose the excellent and generous courses. My only criticism is that the portions were too generous, which meant that we had nothing left for dessert, but we managed to throttle some excellent Calvados at the end. And for what it offered, it was best price.
During my stay at the Palais Hansen Kempisnki I had a wonderful breakfast. Eggs Benedict was the perfect start, paired with freshly pressed grapefruit juice and Belgian waffles to complete the meal with a fresh cup of cappuccino.
We were disappointed. The menu on the website was not up to date (included game dishes like deer, which were not available). The service was friendly but a bit slow and not super professional for such a fancy place. But mostly the food was not very tasty. The pasta was cold and very basic (considering the price). The sausage signature dish was just a normal sausage like you can get for a quarter of the price anywhere. The fish was a bit dry and the steak nothing special either. We did not stay for dessert because we just wanted to leave. All in all, overpriced and not good quality food.
