Durch das Fenster sahen wir, daß viele Gäste im Lokal waren.Wir haben es nicht bereut.Das Gulasch war wirklich sehr gut -und wir kennen uns da aus.Der Tafelspitz schmeckte ausgezeichnet. Die Portionen sind ausreichend bemessen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und man spürte ein bißchen den Wiener Schmäh, obwohl die Dame aus Deutschland ist.Die Preise sind - für das Gebotene - wirklich gut.Sollten wir wieder in der Alser Straße zu tun haben, planen wir den Besuch zum Mittagessen im Restaurant Winter sicher ein.

Das Personal... read more Täglich (Mo - Frei) wechselnde Menüs um unter € 9. Besondes gut Gebackenes Zanderfilet mit ausgezeichnetem Erdäpfelsalat. Die Suppen sind ein Hit! Das Personal freundlich. Auch das als Ala Carte Essen zu empfehlen. Gute Salate! Immer wieder gerne!!!

I also had a chocolate cake dessert which again, was excellent! Could chocolate ever be bad? : Prices were fair and the place was clean and warm. The menus are in German, but they have English ones; you may have to ask, though. The service was a little lacking, and there was only one other customer there. I wasn't in a rush, thankfully. I would go back, as the food was worth it! It may have just been an off night for the service.

They offer typical, well cooked Austrian food at a very reasonable price; staff are really nice and keen to help you on your choice. The place looks old but well cared, cozy and quiet. I will visit it every time I go back to Vienna.
