One evening I go out from the Baroness pension in gaseous lange to buy a bottle of natural mineral water, on the corner with the laudongasse I see the U.S.W sibillina sign and given the surrounding silence I think it is closed but still I push the door that opens. I'm in a crowded room with dozens of clients in line in front of the counter or sitting in the inside tables, all with a mouthful of beer in hand, who absorto in his thoughts, who to converse with friends but all without raising the voice or squeezing in a disturbing way. I take the water and since there are also a half beer on the plug that I drink nice fresh sitting in a corner where,miracle,I can also smoke a cigarette. Two nights later I go back with my wife and sit out quietly with beers, but it starts to rain and then we open the umbrellas and drink in the rain, the two girls put out at the counter, they see us and they laugh pleased. We understand that in vienna it is normal beer in the rain. thanks to U.S.W for the unusual but nice experience made by two regular osterie visitors but not pubs.
