Half the waiters refused to speak to us and the others were extremely rude, seating German speakers who arrived a long time after us. One waiter ignored us and then called us “pigs”. This is not a...friendly place for tourists, the staff are xenophobic. Avoid!

We gently tried to explain that we didn’t have e... read more The restaurant seemed very nice til we had to pay. The waiter came to us and told us we could only pay by cash. We gently tried to explain that we didn’t have enough cash, but only credit card and he started yelling at us....We apologized and one of us ran to the hotel to take the cash while the other stayed as “hostage”. It was really humiliating. Thought we explained ourselfs he kept coming to me yelling that it was late and I that I was a fool cause I didn’t have cash with me. Other waiters started moking at me. It has been a terrible half hour. I was really mortified.

It was today Monda... read more Worst place in our experience in Wien. We drunk 2 beers and when we asked for two more to the waiter Leo. He said no and he gave us the bill. It was today Monday, 09/05 around 6PM. We were sit at the beginning...of the beer garden on the left, just in case you want to have a chat about this with your waiter Leo). We said again to him we want two more beers all of this in English) and he said no. We called another colleague of him and we explained this and we asked to his colleague: are you going to close the place? because Leo said we cant order two more beers and he said no, so he confirmed: we are open for few hours more. Then Leo came back to our table and he said in perfect English: sorry but my English is too bad. Also he added: here in Wien you must give tips. So our question is: you cant understand we want two more beers but you can say we must give you tips? We paid for the first two beers and then we got the two beers that we requested. Here is the horrible thing: we saw how Leo was denieing the entrancy to all the tourist non German speakers) and he was accepting the Germán speakers to the beer garden. We want to think Leo was the rascist here and not the place. Really disgusting situation, hopefully you wouldnt have anymore rascist waiters in your staff.
