Schnaps-Bar Club Hofstöckl - Vienna

We had a team dinner from work. We have beentteyed extremely well, with full flexibility. Any requests have been accomodated: vegetarian, differen table setting, single erson receipts. The staff has beenn extremely kind and polite. The vegetarian food (cous vous, etc) was very good, as...much as all the meet, the goat tarte, and cakes. The garden is absolutely lovely. The prive an absolute correct and honest price.

I left the place with mixed feelings. The big plus is the setting and ambience which is just nice, noisy enough but never loud all in all very pleasant. So, for hanging out be it with your friend or your friends it's a...great place. Things on the questionable side though are for one the service/waiters: over attentive to border on the intrusive. We had so it seems assigned, with one of them quite unfriendly and snarly our guest asked for a specific of a certain dish and the answer was to RTFM just look for yourself in the menu.!!! This is not really a cheap place why any means, not that that would be an excuse for a behavior like that. And also tose too then constantly doubled up in asking if there's anything else we'd like to order. So, just ignore the waitstaff. The other thing is the quality of the food that doesn't really correspond to what you're paying for it. It's all ok and fine but that's not enough. This place calls itself a steak house' now, I had better! A medium' steak should be medium and not half raw! The meat quality was again: OK, but that's. There is better in town for sure. The day before I had a steak at the Pizzeria Il Mare in Zieglergasse and that was worlds apart. So, the garden setting is beautiful and that's what you pay for the rest is ok' for better or worse.

Wir gehen mittlerweile seit Jahren zu jedem größeren Anlass und auch dazwischen ins Gergelys. Die Qualität ist einfach unschlagbar und das Service bestens. Von uns gibt es eine klare Weiterempfehlung

Überdurchschnittliches Restaurant mit sehr gutem Essen(Vorspeisen!),angenehmer Atmosphäre und tollen Getränken. Einzige kleines Manko sind die Servicekräfte,teils etwas unaufmerksam. Gerade beim Wunsch zu bezahlen wird man leider etwas ignoriert.Alles in allem aber ein Besuch wert.

Wir waren an einem Samstagabend zu Gast im Gergely's. Nachdem wir bereits häufiger zu Gast gewesen sind und immer einzeln ein Steak bestellt hatten, teilten mein Freund und ich uns dieses Mal ein Chateaubriand. Dazu gab es noch zwei Folienkartoffeln und Grillgemüse als Beilage, sowie eine Flasche Wein. Zum Chateaubriand lässt sich nicht mehr viel sagen. Es war perfekt am Punkt gebraten und geschmacklich wirklich überragend. Die Beilagen haben das Ganze perfekt abgerundet. Nebenbei muss auch angemerkt werden, dass die Vorspeise im Form einer Spargelcremesuppe vorzüglich gewesen ist und die bestellten Nachspeisen eine perfekte Abrundung gewesen sind. Im Großen und ganzen haben wir sehr zufrieden das Restaurant verlassen und sind uns sicher, dass wir wieder kommen werden!
