I felt we were in fact e... read more We got dinner prior to Votive light show. We got seated outside with a view of the church superb. Service was great and food was great. I felt we were in fact eating food made like they used to in 1890: , meaning likely recipe followed to the dot. I got the liver which seemed marinated in wine? fairly tasty. My son got the steak which was good. The Apple strudel we had better but that vanilla sauce was definitely the star of the meal. We felt it was a great choice of restaurant prior to the light show! It wasn’t too crowded and the price to food quality is quite good as well. I recommend the restaurant for some wonderful time with friends or family. We had just quick drink and their famous authentic chocolate cake which got 100% approval of high quality ingredients used by my mum who is professional pastry chef. Lovely atmosphere sitting next to window. And surprisingly so we paid less for better quality water (Voslauer sparkling tastes so good) and austrian wine, then in stephenplatz basic kiosksUnbelievable, totally worth visit, next time I wanna stay in this hotel Regina and have proper dinner. Though waiters were all a bit grumpy no smiles or much attention really, as if they fed up with guests except for one waiter named Bale. He was friendly, attentive&recommended great wine. I ate there three nights in a row whilst staying at the Regina Hotel, and everything was fine (apart from the hotel wi-fi not working very well in there). Food was lovely, and not expensive.
