I don't know anything about either but enjoyed checking out the cool retro biking memorabilia and the coffee is made with a Faema machine. My friend loved the coffee anyway! Felt very relaxed and felt I could have spent a whole afternoon chilling it here!

We sat out the back, which was perhaps not the best place to sit as the wait staff did not seem to pop out the back room so often and we would have ordered more from the menu if the wait staff had been more attentive. The food was good although not everything on the menu was available as we were told they were "sold out." If you like bicycles then you will appreciate this place and some of the vintage bikes they have on the walls. I liked the atmosphere and the staff were nice enough but just busy doing other stuff rather than serving.

The place was p... read more Visited August 2021 for dinner. I hope they get the door fixed by now. They offer a big variety of Sichuan cuisine with some vegetarian options. The place was packed with chinese youngsters and from a quick glance it seemed like hot pot is the star at SHU. But we were a party of two and weren’t that hungry so we ended up ordering just a few plain dishes to try. Food was actually not bad even though nothing particularly stood out. Generous portion but if I do remember correctly rice is not included(? . I was actually a little disappointed with the eggplant because I was hoping for the long and slim ones but it turned out to be the big European eggplant. Regardless, it still was a good eat. Through out the evening I spotted the chef frequently coming out to check on customers. He even gave the hot pot folks some complimentary ground pork which is a really nice gesture. We were seated in a rather crappy spot but thanks to one of the waitresses who constantly pushed the door shut whenever someone walked in or out to make sure the cold air doesn’t penetrate our bones.
